As summer starts to heat up, you will want to pack your swimsuits and sunscreen for a trip to one of these fun aquatic activities that are fun for the entire family. Whether you are looking for a laidback outing or looking for adrenaline-pumping thrills, read on to find your summer oasis.

Water Fun:

DropZone Water Park

Cool off with a day trip to DropZone Water Park! DropZone is a water-filled paradise 75 minutes away from the resort and is home to thrilling water slides, a wave simulator, and water splash and play areas. For those who prefer rest and relaxation, there’s a lazy river and cabanas available to rent as well.

Land and Water Fun:

Buccaneer Cove at Castle Park

Located around 75 minutes away from the resort, Buccaneer Cove is a water park featuring five water slides and water play areas as well as lounge seating and cabanas. The best part about Buccaneer Cove is that it’s part of Castle Park Amusement Park. Outside of the water park, you can explore the rest of the amusement park and enjoy the other numerous rides, shows, and activities.

Palm Desert Aquatic Center

For a more local experience, check out the Palm Desert Aquatic Center . A community pool center that’s also open to non-residents, Palm Desert Aquatic Center is home to lap pools and aquatic fitness classes as well as slides and a water play area for kids. Be sure to check their calendar for schedule updates.


Some locations may require reservations so be sure to check and make any necessary arrangements in advance. Height requirement may be required for specific water park attractions.
